The WingMan comes with software that offers a WiFi hotspot for setting up and reading out data. However, the hotspot does not have Internet access, so Android phones cannot use the full range of functions with the delivery software. Therefore, with FW version 0.10.3 and later, an additional WiFi access, WiFi Direct is offered specifically for Android. Basically this changes the way Android phones can communicate with the WingMan.

We are constantly developing the firmware on the WingMan. Therefore, there are always firmwate updates for the WingMan. You can easily perform the firmware update via your RideLink app, but you must have access to your WingMan. The firmware update process requires internet access via your smartphone and access to the WingMan's Wi-Fi. The process is slightly different for IOS and Android. Please follow exactly the steps in the app to perform the update. Please always check in advance if you have downloaded the latest version of the app from the respective appstore.

RideLink works with any motorcycle that has a 12 V battery. For permanent connection to the motorcycle battery, we supply special special cables and adhesives. RideLink continuously records your driving data to give you an overview of your driving style.
